How to set up Level Mapping in Ravio
When you join Ravio we’ll create a mapping from our framework to yours. If you don’t have your own level framework, we’ll use the Ravio framework for levelling
Mapping Your Existing Level Framework
During your Ravio onboarding we’ll ask for the following information:
- Information on your internal levelling framework. This can be in any format, and should include information on the skills and competencies required at each level.
- The internal level assigned to each employee. Ideally this would be stored in an HRIS field. If not available, we can also use an excel or CSV file uploaded to your account.
Our dedicated data onboarding team will create a mapping from your levelling framework to the Ravio framework, indicating the equivalent levels between the two.
This will be stored in your account, and you can adjust or make changes at any time once it’s set up.
One the correlation table has been created, we will use information on your internal employee levels (where available) to map each employee to our framework. Any adjustments that you make to the correlation table will be reflected in the mapping for an individual employee.
If you need to adjust the level for specific individuals (to deviate from the standard level mapping) you can do this from the Employee Review screen.
Using Ravio’s Framework
If you don’t have your own level framework, that’s not a problem. We will use our own framework to map each of your individual employees against a Ravio level.
You can read more about the Ravio level framework, and our process for mapping employee’s here.
You can then adjust and make changes to individual employees Ravio levels from the Employee Review screen.
FAQs
What if I need to make changes to the mapping?
You can always make adjustments to the correlation table from your account. To add completely new levels or tracks, or to delete levels, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or email support@ravio.com.
If you’re using Ravio levels, then you can adjust and make changes to individual employees assigned levels from the Employee Review screen.
What if I don’t store levels in my HRIS?
We recommend storing your internal levels in your HRIS so that these can be collected and updated automatically in Ravio.
If you don’t store this information in your HRIS you can provide it via an excel or CSV upload. If employees change levels we won’t be able to reflect this in your account until new information is provided via an upload.
What if I don’t have any levels for my employees?
If you don’t have any levelling framework or employee levels we will use our own framework to map each of your employees.
What happens if there are changes in my HRIS? e.g. level changes, job title changes, or new joiners
If the employee experiences a change in their details in the HRIS:
- New job title - Employee will automatically be mapped to a new Ravio position if that job title has been mapped before. If it’s a brand new job title this will need to be mapped (by you) to a Ravio position.
- New level - Employee will automatically be mapped to a new Ravio level if that level has been mapped before. If it’s a brand new level this will need to be added to the correlation framework. Please reach out to your customer success manager for further support here.
- If the employee has an active override, the employee will not have their benchmark changed regardless of a change in the HRIS.
