# How to export your equity data from Ledgy
## To show equity in your Ravio benchmarks, we need two standard exports from Ledgy. No custom reports, no manual spreadsheets. Each takes a minute or two.
Everything below assumes you're an admin on your company's Ledgy account.
### The two exports
#### 1. Vesting
This is the one we build your upload from. It lists every grant with its plan, grant date, vesting start date and strike price, plus each tranche's vesting date and quantity, so the vesting terms come straight from your data.
1. In Ledgy, open the **Vesting** page under your equity plans.
2. Use the standard view and leave every column showing. **Ledgy only exports the columns you can see**, so a column hidden on screen is left out of the file. The columns we need are Stakeholder name, Grant #, Tranche name, Plan, Tranche event, Grant date, Vesting start date, Vesting ends on, Strike price and Vesting amount.
3. Don't filter the view to particular people or plans. We need every grant.
4. Click **Export** and choose **Excel – All rows (groups expanded)**.
The groups-expanded option matters. The other Excel options give a summary line per person or per page and leave out the tranche detail, so we can't work out how anything vests. We check this when the file arrives and will come back to you if it's the wrong one.
#### 2. Transactions, filtered to valuations
This gives us your share price history, which is what turns a number of options into a value.
1. Go to **Ownership \> Transactions**.
2. Filter the transaction type to **Valuation**.
3. Make sure the **Valuation type** and **Valuation share price** columns are showing.
4. Click **Export** and choose **Excel**.
We use your **company** valuations only. If you also record 409A, EMI, CSOP or fair-value valuations in Ledgy, it's fine to leave them in the export. They're tax and accounting figures rather than your share price, so we skip them.
### Sending your files
Send both files in Ravio using the Additional Documents Upload functionality in-app.
Please share them exactly as Ledgy produced them. Please don't filter rows, delete columns, or save them in another format. We read the exports by their column headers, so an edited file usually means a slower turnaround, not a faster one.
### Two things worth checking first
**Names.** Ledgy's vesting export identifies people by stakeholder name only, with no email or employee ID. We match those names to the employees already in Ravio from your HR system, so the closer your Ledgy stakeholder names are to your HR records, the more grants match automatically. We'll send you a list of anyone we couldn't place.
**Your reporting currency.** Ledgy doesn't label the currency on each row, and the Ravio template holds one currency per upload. Just tell us which one you use.
### What Ledgy can't give us
A few gaps we'll come back to you about, so it's worth knowing up front.
**Which instrument each plan is.** Ledgy's exports name your plans the way you named them in Ledgy, for example "Option plan", rather than saying whether they're options, RSUs, phantom shares or something else. We'll ask you to confirm this once per plan.
**Post-money valuation.** The transactions export gives us the date and share price of each valuation. It doesn't include the post-money valuation, and Ravio needs that to work out fully diluted shares and each grant's ownership percentage. This is visible in-platform.
What happens next
We convert your exports into the Ravio equity template and send it back with an **Action required** tab listing anything we couldn't source from your exports. Everything on that tab is something we deliberately left blank rather than estimated. Fill those in, send it back, and we'll load it.
Grants held by people who have left are left out, since Ravio benchmarks current employees. Ledgy shows a leaver as unvested tranches being forfeited, and that's what we look for. If anyone's been left out by mistake, tell us and we'll add them back.
